La consigna demana un fet viscut o imaginat (2025, ordinària, sèrie 4, 3.2: «a time when you faced this challenge»). Tria’n un de sol i explica’l en ordre.
Hi cap poc: situació i personatges al principi, el problema o succés al mig, i com va acabar (o què vas aprendre) al final. Fes servir el passat i marcadors de temps («first», «then», «after that», «in the end»).
Combina temps del passat (past simple, past continuous i past perfect) per mostrar varietat. Afegeix un detall sensorial o un diàleg curt per donar-li vida.

3.1 You and some friends have been to a new restaurant in your town which you enjoyed very much. The owners ask you to write a review in Google or Trip Advisor to help them publicize it. Mention the type of food they serve, their best dishes, the ingredients they use, the service, the decoration, the value for money and any other aspect that is worth mentioning.

3.2 We all know life is full of ups and downs. Imagine you recently faced a significant personal challenge. Write a narrative essay for your high school’s newspaper about a time when you faced this challenge. This could be an academic, emotional, or physical obstacle. Describe the situation, the decisions you made to overcome it, and the lessons you learned from the experience.

La resposta model
Last year I had a real academic challenge: I failed my first two maths exams in a row and began to believe that I was simply bad at the subject.
I realised that hiding the problem would only make it worse, so I talked to my teacher, who suggested that I review my mistakes every week. I also joined a study group with two classmates, and we met every Thursday to explain exercises to each other.
It was slow work, and some weeks I wanted to give up. However, by the third term my marks had improved so much that I passed the course with a good grade.
What did I learn? First, that asking for help is a sign of strength. Second, that effort and a good method can matter more than talent. Now, when something seems impossible, I remember those Thursdays and keep going.

GrammarMira que les frases siguin correctes i que es combinin temps. Aquí hi ha passat simple («I failed my first two maths exams in a row»), plusquamperfet («my marks had improved so much that I passed the course») i una oració de relatiu («my teacher, who suggested that I review my mistakes every week»).
Vocabulary and spellingMira que el vocabulari sigui precís i propi del tema (els estudis i l’esforç), i que l’ortografia sigui correcta. Per exemple, «a study group with two classmates» i «asking for help is a sign of strength».
CohesionMira que el relat avanci amb ordre temporal i que les idees s’enllacin. Aquí, «However, by the third term my marks had improved» marca el gir del relat i «What did I learn? First, that asking for help is a sign of strength» obre les lliçons.

Last summer I spent a day in Lisbon, a city I had never visited before. I had no plan, just a map and a pair of comfortable shoes.
I started in the Alfama district, where I wandered along steep, narrow streets and climbed to a viewpoint above the red roofs. After that I took the famous yellow tram, which was so crowded that I had to stand on the step.
Then something unexpected happened. I got on the wrong metro line and ended up in an unfamiliar neighbourhood, far from the centre. Instead of panicking, I asked a young man for directions. He not only helped me but also walked with me to the station.
That day I learnt that getting lost is not always a problem: it can be the best way to discover a place and to meet kind people.

Last summer, my cousins and I spent a weekend in Aigüestortes National Park, in the Pyrenees. At nine o’clock we were walking beside a lake so still that the mountains seemed to hang upside down in the water.
At first everything went smoothly. We had lunch near a waterfall and spotted some chamois on a distant slope. A ranger had told us that some flowers along the path were protected, so we only photographed them. Then dark clouds covered the sky and, within minutes, a violent storm had soaked us.
We sheltered under a rock until another ranger showed us a shorter way to the refuge, where we dried our clothes by the fire.
Looking back, I remember the storm more clearly than the views. It taught me that nature deserves respect, and that the best trips are often the unplanned ones.

La resposta model
The last concert I attended was in June last year, after almost two years without live music. I had bought the tickets months earlier, but I could hardly believe the day had finally come.
When we arrived at the stadium, the atmosphere was electric. People were queuing with big smiles, and my friend Laia and I found our places just as the lights went down.
From the first song, the audience sang every word. At one point, the singer thanked us for coming back, and I noticed that many people around me were crying. I realised how much we had missed these shared moments.
We walked home in silence, with our ears still ringing. It was not the best show I had ever seen, but it was certainly the most emotional one, and it made me appreciate live culture more than ever.

Ho diu l’examen: entre 125 i 150 paraules, sense penalització específica per passar-se de 150 i sense punts extra per passar-se (ho diuen els exàmens del 2022 al 2024 i les instruccions de correcció del 2025 i el 2026).
